Buying for the First Time - Comox Valley Real Estate

If you’re considering Comox Valley real estate, and you’re a first time new home buyer, you may be eligible for a one time bonus from the BC Government that would make buying a home in the Comox Valley more affordable. To be eligible for the First-Time New Home Buyers’ Bonus, you and the home you plan to purchase must meet certain criteria, but it is certainly an attractive offer and worth looking into.

As a Comox Valley Realtor®  it’s always a thrill to help people purchase their first home. So many great memories are attached to the places we live, and especially the first home we call our own. There are two wonderful opportunities for new home purchases in the Comox Valley real estate market right now: The Shores  in the beautiful seaside community of Comox and the Corinthia Estates at Crown Isle with panoramic mountain views just minutes away from the fairways of the Crown Isle Golf Resort.

Homes in both of these neighborhoods offer a high quality purchase with low maintenance lifestyles, to let you fully enjoy all that the Comox Valley has to offer. The First-Time New Home Buyers’ Bonus makes these homes even more attractive. There is an eligibility criteria for you as a buyer, and for the home itself which mainly depends on your residency, the date of occupancy, and your family income. A full description of eligibility can be found here.

If you’re a first time home buyer but have your eye on a different Comox Valley real estate gem, you may still qualify for the bonus if it’s a new build, or it can be an owner-built home that has been substantially renovated, meaning that 90% of the interior has been removed or replaced. The eligible homes descriptions include detached and semi-detached houses, duplexes and townhouses as well as residential condominiums, mobile homes, floating homes, and units in a cooperative housing corporation.  So contact me. I’ve been a Comox Valley REALTOR® since 2006 and have helped many people in the Comox Valley purchase their first home. I’d love to do the same for you.
